Who Holds The Space

Someone has to hold the room,
so you don’t have to.

The work found him in a lot of places. A DJ booth in London. A dance floor in Cusco. A breath practice in Greece. Sound bowls back in London again. Three continents, one thread — how a room, held right, can move people who were sure they couldn’t be moved.

He brought it home to Ranchi and called it House of AUM. Since then he’s held rooms in Ranchi, Rishikesh, and Bengaluru. This isn’t his first room. It’s the one all the others were quietly leading to.

“I don’t teach people how to move. I curate the room — the music, the breath, the invitation — so expression can happen on its own.”

Why it matters to you.

None of this is here to impress you. It’s here so you can stop managing your own experience — and let someone who’s held the room before carry it, while you simply arrive.

“Finding my flow and confidence has never felt so joyful.”

Sally · England

“Moving with purpose and flow.”

The Invitation

Before we explain
any of it.

Some things are easier felt than described. Forty seconds from ARME, on why this room exists and what it asks of you — sound on, if you can.

A personal invitation — ARME

Sound moves first. Then you.

One Evening

What if you could leave
the ordinary behind?

Somewhere in all of that, freedom became a luxury.
It was meant to be a choice.

Forget the day. Forget the clock. Forget how you’re supposed to move, and how you’re supposed to be. For a few hours there is nowhere to go, nothing to achieve, nothing to perform. Just a journey waiting to unfold.

You don’t know exactly what will happen.
That’s the point.

This is Alter Dance.

Not a dance class. Not a performance. Not a party you stand around watching. You don’t come to watch it — you enter it.

Music becomes the guide. Movement becomes the language. Strangers become connections.

No steps to followNo performance to giveNo version of yourself to maintain

You don’t need to be a dancer. You don’t need to know what to expect. You only need to be curious enough to enter.

The Journey

2.5 hours. One journey.
A world of possibility.

A crafted journey through the three rituals of freedom — an unfolding altered state that carries you beyond the familiar, into a space where you can feel, move, connect, play and celebrate without limits.

You arrive with the world on your shoulders. And then the music begins.

The Ritual of Freedom

  1. 01

    Purification

Leave the outside world at the door. The body sheds what it walked in carrying — the day, the noise, the held tension. Nowhere to go, nothing to achieve, nothing to perform.

  2. 02

    Transformation

The rhythm takes over and the thinking stops. No audience, no expectation, no yesterday and no tomorrow. This is where the state shifts — where you stop watching yourself and start living the moment.

  3. 03

    Celebration

The room comes alive. You meet people beyond words and introductions, and the ordinary starts to feel extraordinary.

The sequence is ARME’s own — curated out of his embodiment of the work, not borrowed from a format.

The same room. Never the same night.

The altar stays the same — the safety, the sound, the care. What moves through it changes. Some nights it is free movement; some nights trance, breath, sound healing, shamanic journeying. You don’t choose the medicine. You trust the room to know what the night needs.

And when the journey ends, you return to the world — a little lighter, a little more open, a little more alive.

You may arrive a stranger.
You may leave with a story.

Cross the threshold.

The Medicine

The body keeps score.
Movement settles it.

We move without steps. No choreography, no counting, no getting it right. Just the body, finding its own way to speak.

Because the body has been holding things. Old stories. Old tension. Feelings you filed away and forgot were still in there. You get so used to carrying it that you stop feeling it at all. Sound reaches the places words can’t, and moves what’s stuck — exactly enough to loosen what you’re holding, never more than you can meet.

You don’t have to understand it for it to work. You only have to let it in.

We call it release.
You’ll just call it lighter.

The Room

Safe enough to soften.
Brave enough to be seen.

Safety comes first — always. Nothing opens in a room that doesn’t feel safe, so we build that first: the space, the sound, the care. Then we ask for a little courage. To stop performing. To stop steering. To loosen the grip you keep on who you think you are — and meet who you actually are underneath it.

Some things you can’t be told. You can only be shown — from the inside. This is one of them.

What Actually Happens To You

Six things worth knowing
before you come.

Safety is built before anything else.

A hundred people, and ten agreements everybody reads before arriving: no talking, no photographs, no intoxicants, nobody picking anybody up. Nobody asks you to touch, pair up, or say a word.

You do not need to know how to dance.

There are no steps and nothing to get right. Swaying counts; so does lying on the floor. The people who say they cannot dance usually travel furthest.

The body is slower than the mind.

Most people feel little in the first half hour and a great deal in the second. Come without needing it to work, and it usually does.

Whatever comes up was already in there.

Tears, laughter, shaking — all normal, and all welcome. Nobody crowds you or tries to fix it, and you can step aside whenever you need to.

Nothing alters you here but the music.

No alcohol, no substances. That is exactly why what happens in this room does not happen in a club.

It is small, and it changes a year.

One realisation, one release, one celebration. Written down it looks small. Lived, it is what shifts the direction of a year.

The Choice

So what is
actually stopping you?

It is a Sunday evening. It costs less than dinner for two. The only thing being asked of you is that you turn up and stop performing for two and a half hours.

You can close this page

Keep working it out on your own, the way you have been. Nothing bad happens. It is a Sunday like any other, and next October looks a lot like this one.

Or you can come and find out

One evening. One realisation, one release, one celebration — which is usually all it has ever taken to change the direction of a year. There is nothing to lose in a room where nobody is watching.

Reserve Your Spot

One evening. A hundred people.
Nothing to explain.

You can keep reading about it, or you can be in the room. Only one of those changes anything.

Where your ticket goes.

This is not a class with a speaker in the corner. A night like this gets built — the hall, the projection, the sound system, the light, the weeks of design behind two and a half hours.

A hundred places, and no more, which means every ticket carries real weight. Nothing here is priced to fill a floor. It’s priced to build a room worth standing in.

Before You Come

Come as you are.
Just come a little early.

The gate closes at 5.00pm.

Doors open at 4.30pm. At 5.00pm the gate closes and does not open again — not because we’re strict, but because the room can only be safe if it’s whole.

Give yourself that half hour. Arrive unhurried, settle, and be inside before it begins. We finish at 7.30pm.

What to bring

Almost nothing.

  • Clothes you can move and sweat in
  • A bottle of water
  • An open, curious body

Leave your watch, your phone, and the version of you that needs to look good — none of them are useful in here.

The practical bits

How long is it, and when should I arrive?

Doors at 4.30pm, the gate closes at 5.00pm, and we finish at 7.30pm. Two and a half hours, continuous, with a half hour before it to arrive and settle.

What if I’m running late?

The gate closes at 5.00pm and we cannot open it again — by then the circle has formed and the room is held. A ticket cannot be refunded for a late arrival, so please plan for Bengaluru traffic and give yourself far more time than the map suggests.

What if I can’t make it?

Cancel more than a week before and we refund you in full. After that there is no refund, but your place can go to someone else, or move to a future ALTER evening — tell us on WhatsApp. Inside the last 24 hours a place can’t be moved or refunded. Full detail on the refund policy page.

What if I want to leave partway?

You can, always. The closed circle is about people not walking in — never about anyone being unable to walk out. If you need to step out, someone from the team will quietly make sure you’re alright.
